Pet Corner – Tito’s journey: from chains to care

Tito’s life took a tragic turn after his owner passed away

Every dog that arrives at Cadela Carlota & Companhia carries a unique story, and Tito is no exception. Surrendered to us shortly before Christmas, Tito’s life took a tragic turn after his owner passed away. Having spent his days chained, Tito is blind in one eye and has a leg wound that we are still treating. Despite his hardships, he has captured our hearts with his shy but gentle nature.

A second chance at life

Tito has only just arrived, and we are embarking on a journey to help him heal and find his confidence. When Tito first came to us, he was understandably timid and unsure. Our volunteers quickly stepped in, offering him the care and affection he so desperately needed. From regular walks to moments of quiet companionship, these acts of kindness are helping Tito begin to trust again. His transformation, even in these early days, has been remarkable. He is starting to show a glimmer of confidence, proving he is as beautiful on the inside as he is on the outside.

Our volunteers: the heart of our mission

At Cadela Carlota & Companhia, our volunteers are the backbone of everything we do. They dedicate countless hours to ensuring dogs like Tito receive the care they need to heal and thrive. Whether it’s walks, or simply sitting with a nervous dog, their compassion knows no bounds. Thanks to their unwavering support, Tito is beginning to look forward to a brighter future.

Every dog has a story

Tito’s journey is just one example of the resilience of the animals we care for. Each dog that comes to our shelter has a unique past, but they all share the same need for love and security. We are committed to helping them find that, no matter how long it takes.

Looking ahead

Tito is a medium-small dog, about four years old, and is searching for a family who will see beyond his past and embrace the loyal companion he is destined to be. If you think you could be the one to give Tito a new start, or if you want to support our work through donations or volunteering, please visit our website or contact us directly. Together, we can continue to change lives, one dog at a time.
