Help us give them a safe place to heal
At Cadela Carlota, we do everything possible to ensure our dogs receive the best medical care, but a shelter is not the ideal place for recovery. We dream of building a sterile environment for post-surgery care, but for now, we need foster families to step in.
Two of our dogs, Odi and Jonny, need a calm, loving home to recover from upcoming surgeries. We will cover all expenses – can you provide them with a quiet place to heal?
Odi – Three months of recovery, a lifetime of gratitude
Odi is a gentle, five-year-old, medium-sized dog who needs surgery for a torn ligament in his paw. His recovery will take about three months, and he desperately needs a foster home to rest and heal. Odi is an affectionate, easygoing dog who loves his walks, the beach, and playing with other dogs.
Found abandoned in 2021, he was rescued by a kind woman in Odiáxere and nursed back to health by our volunteers. While Odi is a little shy at first, he is eager to learn and would adjust well to home life with a patient foster family.
Jonny – A kind-hearted gentleman in need of care
Jonny needs surgery to remove a cyst and, like Odi, he requires a sterile, stress-free place to recover. Jonny was surrendered to the shelter after being wrongly diagnosed with leishmaniasis. In reality, he has a flea allergy, which is easily managed with Bravecto every three months.
Initially a shy and fearful dog, Jonny has grown into a calm, confident, and obedient companion. He loves walks, enjoys the beach, and is well-behaved on a leash. Jonny prefers the company of female dogs and would thrive in a quiet home where he can rest comfortably.
