Anne Kaasa, the Norwegian pianist who is resident in Lisbon, will give two concerts during November 2014 at Os Agostos country estate, near Santa Bárbara de Nexe and Bordeira.
The first concert will be on Tuesday, November 18 and will feature compositions by Schubert, Beethoven, Chopin and Schumann. The second concert will be on Thursday, November 20 and Anne will play pieces by Grieg, Liszt, Ravel and Granados.
Anne has been described by Le Monde de la Musique as “a pianist that stands out in the crowded world of soloists by the depth of her interpretations, the fluidity of her playing, as well as the precision and delicacy of her touch”.
Anne’s solo activities include playing at prestigious venues such as London’s Wigmore Hall, Lisbon’s Gulbenkian Foundation and Scheremetev Palace in St. Petersburg.
The pianist has performed concertos with many orchestras including the Baden-Baden Philharmonic, Florence Chamber, Portuguese Symphony and the Gulbenkian in Lisbon. As a chamber musician, she has enjoyed partnerships with well-known musicians such as violinist Arve Tellefsen and cellist Truls Mørk.
Anne’s repertory extends from Bach to contemporary music and she has collaborated with many composers including Clotilde Rosa and Sérgio Azevedo. The French composer Philippe Fénelon dedicated his Second Piano Concerto to her.
