Piano stuffed with cocaine seized ‘on way to Portugal’

Two pianos – one destined for Portugal – due to be shipped from Bogotá airport – stuffed with cocaine have been seized by authorities in Colombia. According to reports, the pianos contained 115 kilos of cocaine hidden “in discreet, purpose-built compartments”. There was enough drugs in both for roughly 300,000 individual doses, which would bring in “around €3.7 million”. The news made headlines in Colombia – the world’s largest ‘exporter of cocaine’ – where authorities have not disclosed how many people have been arrested in this case, but investigations are continuing.
