Pink Ladies Day returns to Silves golf course in September

Sponsors are needed to support the day and Algarve Oncology Association

Pink Ladies Day was founded in 2018 when 80 ladies played golf at Pestana’s Vale da Pinta Golf Course in Lagoa, raising €4,000. In 2019, the venue was changed to Silves Golf Course, on the outskirts of the beautiful town of Silves; 100 ladies played in the sun, all in pink, and a fantastic €7,170 was raised. In 2020 and 2021, smaller fields played due to the Covid restrictions. In 2022, we had 100 ladies and raised over €4,000. In 2023, 120 Ladies played and we raised a magnificent sum of €8,200!

All the proceeds of the Pink Ladies Days are donated to the Algarve Oncology Association (AOA).

The AOA is a much-needed service in the Algarve. Mobile units travel to smaller towns and screen people across the length and breadth of the Algarve. This enables earlier diagnosis and thereby access to treatment for various forms of cancer including breast, respiratory and skin.

Pink Ladies Day 2024 is looking to exceed our fundraising in previous years and raise much-needed funds for this worthy charity.

The 7th Pink Ladies Day will be on Thursday, September 5 at the Pestana Silves Golf Course. The game is a Pairs Better Ball and we award prizes down to sixth place together with numerous nearest the pins and longest drives.

We still have a few spaces available. If you would like to play, please email Wendy: pink.lady@serrademonchiquegolfclub.com

Sponsors needed

It would be fantastic if the well-known names in golf and local businesses were able to support this great day, and a well deserving Portuguese charity. Pestana have kindly offered us courtesy of the course at Silves. The entry fee for Pestana members is €30 and non Pestana members €40.

All sponsors will be listed on the back of the score card for advertising purposes and to recognise the sponsors generosity.
