Pink Ladies Golf Day raise over €4,000 for AOA

Serra de Monchique Golf Club (SDM) held the fifth Pink Ladies Day at Silves on September 1 in aid of the Algarve Oncology Association (AOA).

Pink was the order of the day from the top to the bottom: pink flags, pink tee box markers, pink score cards and even pink holes on the green, not to mention 98 ladies all dressed in pink, with wraps and Prosecco, in a blaze of pink, ably assisted by the team of SDM dream boys (all in pink!).

A superb lunch was enjoyed by 103 ladies which preceded the prize draw and finally the prize giving.

Several ladies won Nearest the Pins and prizes went down to ninth place. Due to the generosity of all involved including the many sponsors of the event – Pestana, Blevins Franks, Brasserie Rosal, Golf Shack, Golfers Paradise, Prime Wine, Golf 59 Sport Fashion, Miss Designer Golf, Nevada Bobs, AOA, amongst several others – it was possible to have a great selection of prizes.

But the beneficiary of the event, the Algarve Oncology Association (AOA) in Faro, will receive in excess of €4,000 from the day.
