Prime minister, Luis Montenegro has had to cancel his agenda until Sunday, on medical advice, because he is recovering from a health problem that, while not serious, requires rest, says a note from the prime minister’s office.Today’s meetings with political parties will be conducted by finance minister Joaquim Miranda Sarmento, together with minister for the presidency António Aleixo Amaro and minister for parliamentary affairs Pedro Duarte. “The prime minister asks for special understanding from all political parties with parliamentary seats, with whom he had commitments in these days” according to the note. Mr Montenegro’s health problem is described as “infectious but not serious”.
