Police have arrested three men (all foreigners), for the attempted murder of two others (also foreigners) on Porto’s Luiz 1 bridge last month. This was just one of a number of episodes that have marked Porto in recent months, and seen government minister for interior, Margarida Blasco, agree that it is time to increase police numbers in the area. The three men, all from India and aged between 25 and 33, are due to appear before a magistrate to hear bail measures.
