GNR police seized 273 counterfeit items in Monte Gordo and Manta Rota in the Algarve municipality of Vila Real de Santo António this week.
Among them were 128 football jerseys, 33 towels, 28 hats and 84 football club pins.
The counterfeit items were sold by three establishments as well as several street vendors who would attempt to sell them on beaches.
Four men and one woman, aged between 35 and 45, were identified by police, while the case was reported to VRSA’s criminal court.
