AN OVERWHELMING majority of online readers do not believe that the new smoking law, which comes into effect on January 1, 2008, will have a detrimental impact on tourism in the Algarve. A total of 84 per cent of voters said the smoking law would not harm the tourist industry, while 14 per cent said that they believe it will have a detrimental effect on tourism and two per cent were unsure or did not have an opinion.
