Portimão celebrates Carnation Revolution with ‘Freedom Race’

Portimão will celebrate the 51st anniversary of Portugal’s Carnation Revolution on Friday, April 25 with its traditional ‘Corrida da Liberdade’ (Freedom Race), starting at 9am.

The race is divided into three categories – a race for children, a 5km walk and a 10km race. Registration fees range from €3 for children to between €10 and €12 for adults.

Special “athlete kits” will be given to registered participants on the two days preceding the event.
