It’s back again for its second year and promises to bring Christmas cheer to Portimão’s streets.
Organised by local non-profit association Teia D’ Impulsos, ‘Caminho dos Presépios’ (Nativity Scene Route) has a very simple goal – to promote local commerce by creating special routes through Portimão’s centre that lead to nativity scenes within shops, restaurants and public spaces.
This year, a total of 55 establishments have joined the initiative, which is running until January 6 and has the added bonus of giving shop-goers a chance to win special prizes.
For each purchase a person makes at one of the 55 establishments, they are given a stamp for their ‘Caminho dos Presépios’ guide. Once they get 10 stamps, they are entered into a Christmas hamper prize draw.
The ‘Caminho dos Presépios’ guides can be obtained at any of the participating outlets.
