Following the international break, Portimonense return to competitive action this Friday when manager Paulo Sérgio is expected to field a strong side at second division Penafiel for their Portuguese FA Cup fourth round clash.
The match should see the return of fit-again Ewerton and provide a rare outing for former first-choice keeper Ricardo Ferreira, but both Payam Niazmad and Fali Cande will be rested following this week’s successful appearances for Iran and Guinea-Bissau respectively.
Portimonense’s next league game is scheduled for next Saturday, November 27, when currently 12th-placed Famalicão are the hosts.
