Porto’s São João State health service hospital has started performing surgeries on a Sunday in a bid to reduce waiting lists for operations. The plan, says Lusa, is to operate on up to 140 patients on Sundays up to the end of this year. Specialities involved are vascular surgery, general surgery, stomatology (oral surgery) and surgery for obesity.
