Parts of Spain also affected
A major power outage is affecting parts of Portugal Spain, France and Italy this Monday morning.
The Resident’s office in Lagoa has been affected, as well as several parts of the Algarve region. There are reports that areas all over Portugal are also without power.
According to E-REDES, the outage has been caused by a “problem in the European electrical network, which affected the national network”.
Portugal’s electricity authority REN carried out a series of cuts in “specific areas” to ensure the stability of the network. Electricity is being slowly restored, E-REDES adds.
