Portugal hosts international exercise for women firefighters

Between February 1 and 10, Portugal is to host a firefighting exchange which aims to highlight the importance of women in fire prevention and promote gender equality. The Women’s Traditional Fire Training Exchange (WTREX) will take place for the first time in Portugal, in Paredes de Coura, in the district of Viana do Castelo, bringing together  with 45 professionals from 21 countries, the Agency for the Integrated Management of Rural Fires (AGIF) said in a press statement today.
