‘Chasing Echoes’ is the first of a trilogy of young adult fantasy novels to be released until 2026
Portugal-based author Corinne Weber has announced the release of “Chasing Echoes: Book One of the Conch-quest Trilogy,” a “captivating young adult fantasy novel that blends magic, adventure, and timely environmental themes.”
Weber, who relocated from Philadelphia, USA to Cascais, Portugal with her husband and children in 2019, says the book invites readers to embark on a “enthralling journey alongside Gemma and her friends as they embark on a quest to find the powerful Conch before it falls into the hands of the destructive demigod Triton.”
According to the author, “the Lisbon region and its fascinating sites feature prominently in ‘Chasing Echoes,’ adding a unique and vibrant backdrop to the story’s magical world.”
She adds that the novel “delves into the urgent question of humanity’s relationship with the environment, weaving a narrative where the fate of the world hangs in the balance. Gemma and her companions must race against time, navigating a new world of magic to prevent Triton from wielding the Conch’s power, which threatens to unleash catastrophic consequences.
‘Chasing Echoes’ is the first instalment of the Conch-quest Trilogy, promising readers a series filled with “adventure, friendship, and thought-provoking reflections on our planet.”
The book is sold through Amazon, costing €9.77 on Amazon Spain and £7.72 on Amazon UK.
