Portugal’s nurses union calls strike on overtime

With the Portuguese health service deeply affected by the ban on overtime mounted by doctors’ syndicates, nurses now have called their own ban, to run from October 30 to November 25. The SNE nurses union has said the industrial action is aimed at “getting the government to correct wage stagnation”.
