The Portuguese Air Force airlifted 102 Portuguese citizens from Marrakech late last night, following the devastating earthquake less than 24-hours before. A statement from the ministry of foreign affairs said the group (including two injured nationals, a father and daughter) arrived back in Portugal in the early hours of this morning, as in Morocco the death toll from the 6.8 quake has already topped 2,000.
