The Portuguese are among the European citizens who spend the least money on holidays.
According to data from Eurostat, Portuguese nationals spend around €136 on average on their holidays, which is well below the European average of €336.
On the other hand, the Luxembourgish (€768), the Maltese (€646) and the Austrians (€607) are among the biggest spenders.
