Two young men, a Portuguese aged 21 and a Spaniard, aged 26, have been arrested in Gibraltar on suspicion of “racially aggravated intentional harassment, alarm & distress after allegedly shouting abuse at members of the Jewish community” on the territory’s main street, outside Mothercare. The incident comes in the wake of the slaughter of jewish citizens in Israel on Saturday. According to Gibraltar police, the Portuguese national was also found in possession of cannabis. Both young men remain, for the time being, in preventive custody.
