A 35-year-old Portuguese lorry driver has been arrested and released pending further inquiries after he was reported to have run over two elderly men in Spain without stopping. According to eye-witnesses, “the driver kept going as if nothing had happened” while the bodies of Francisco Lucas, 74, and his friend Manuel Fiallo, 77, lay “almost unrecognisable” in the road, reports Correio da Manhã, adding that the driver is unlikely to face trial in Spain.
