Wine lovers are invited for the 6th Portuguese Wine Show, which will take place from May 17 to 19 at the EMA – the Espaço Multiusos de Albufeira exhibition hall.
Organised by Confraria do Bacchus de Albufeira, the annual competition brings together some of the most celebrated wine producers from across the country.
The Alentejo is the region with the most participating producers (17), although the Algarve will be very well represented with a total of 13 producers.
Douro, Dão, Tejo, Beiras, Lisbon, Setúbal and Bairrada complete the list of participating wine regions, which includes a total of 60 producers.
Besides tasting the various wines that will be on offer, the event gives guests a chance to learn more about wine production in Portugal.
The festivities will begin every day at 2.30pm, with a constant string of activities going on up until 8pm.
This year’s edition of the Portuguese Wine Show is supported by the municipality of Albufeira, regional tourism board Turismo do Algarve, local tourism authority Turismo de Albufeira and Crédito Agrícola bank.
