Portugal’s worst periods of unemployment have passed. The opinion is of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), which believes that levels of unemployment will return to where they were in 2011 – which was still above 15%.
Six months ago, OECD predicted unemployment would reach 18.6% in the coming two years. Now, its forecast is 16.1% for 2014 and 15.8% for 2015.
