President convenes Council of State on Madeira’s political crisis

President Marcelo is free now to dissolve the regional parliament of Madeira (six months have past since the government – recently brought down by a criminal probe – took office). First, he plans to hear all the parties with representation in the regional parliament, and then he will be holding a Council of State to decide what steps should be taken. All these meetings and decisions will come on Wednesday. The Council of State is scheduled for 6pm, so an announcement could be ready in time for the evening/ late night news.
