President implores young citizens to be aware of foreign events’ impact on Portugal

Portugal’s president Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa has called on young people to be concerned about international events – warning of their impact on the country. “It’s in the hands of young people to build the future”, he said in a video message broadcast at the opening of the CDS-PP Party Leadership Conference, taking place until Sunday in Santa Maria da Feira. Young people should of course be concerned over what is going on in Portugal, but they need to look beyond that, he urged, as there is so much going on that needs to be understood.
