Portuguese President, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa sent a congratulatory message to Daniel Chapo, who was sworn in as President of Mozambique on Wednesday.
In his letter, Marcelo highlighted the “fraternal relations between our two peoples and the essential role of the Mozambican community in Portugal and the Portuguese community in Mozambique.”
He also highlighted the “very solid ties of cooperation between our two brother states” and revealed his plans of visiting Mozambique in June to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its independence.
