President Marcelo visits Western Algarve towns

President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa returned to the Algarve last weekend to visit Aljezur on Friday and Vila do Bispo on Saturday and enjoy dinner with the region’s mayors.

Marcelo, who had vowed to visit the Algarve every week during the summer to prove the region is a Covid-safe destination, has continued his trips into autumn.

As in previous trips to Algarve towns, the president chatted with locals and representatives from local associations in both towns and visited some of their main attractions, including the stunning Western Algarvean beaches.

In Vila do Bispo, he also inaugurated a series of municipal infrastructures including the Educational Community Multiservices Centre in Budens, the Multiuse Pavillion in Sagres and the new headquarters of the Clube Recreativo Infante de Sagres.
