SEVEN PRISONERS escaped from a police detention centre in the Philippines on Monday.

They made their great escape by sawing through the bars of their cell while the guard watching them was forced to make regular bathroom trips after eating some bad food! A police representative said that every time the guard went to the toilet the prisoners used a small saw they had smuggled in to cut the rusty and old bars. Two of the men had been charged with murder and the other five were up on larceny charges. The guard only realised what had happened hours after they had made their escape and he has since been suspended from duty. The guard’s superior who was not at the detention centre at the time has also been replaced and an investigation is underway. The escaped convicts are still at large.
