PSP deal blow to Lagos drug dealing

48-year-old suspected drug dealer arrested in Lagos

PSP police in Lagos have announced the arrest of a 48-year-old man suspected of drug dealing.

In a statement to the press, the police force says the man was arrested after several complaints were filed about drug trafficking in Lagos’ historic centre and nightlife areas.

Several hundreds of doses of drugs were found in his possession, including 413 doses of hashish, 45 of cocaine, 41 of ecstasy, as well as a mobile phone, a range of items linked to drug dealing activities and €60 in cash.

PSP believe that the arrest will lead to a “decrease of drug trafficking” in an area where citizens and tourists were starting to feel “unsafe”.

The man appeared before a judge on Thursday.
