After having cancelled its Easter market due to bad weather, Quarteira has announced it will host a new event to make up for it this weekend (April 19-21) from 10am to 6pm.
Entitled ‘Mercadinho de Primavera’ (Spring Market), the event will feature live music, a handicraft fair and fun activities for children, including a bouncy castle and face painting.
One of the highlights promises to be the unveiling of a giant 135-metre long Folar, a traditional Easter cake (or bread, depending on where you are in Portugal) at 3.30pm on Saturday, April 20.
