Restaurants at Quinta do Lago resort will be serving special festive menus to celebrate Christmas and New Year.
On Christmas Day (December 25), Bovino Steakhouse has prepared a special lunch for those who “don’t fancy stuffing that turkey or faffing with all the festive dinner details”.
The lunch will feature a “sumptuous spread of your favourite Christmas food classics, traditional roast turkey, and a succulent seafood bar”. There will also be a live band to “get everyone into the holiday spirit”. Cost is €150 for adults and €75 for children aged 5-12, excluding drinks.
For New Year’s Eve, there will be three restaurants to choose from for a delicious last meal of the year.
“Whether you choose to savour the fresh flavours at Casa de Lago, enjoy mouthwatering prime cuts at Bovino Steakhouse, or dance the night away at Dano’s, we have something for everyone,” the resort promises.
At Casa do Lago, the menu is made up of local, fresh ingredients, particularly fresh fish.
“Share some of the appetisers like sautéed shrimp, panko cod ‘à Brás’, octopus salad, or tuna crudo, and choose from four main courses, two fish, and two meat. Finish with a delicious chocolate and almond fondant,” the resort recommends.
Those who want to spend the night dancing can choose Dano’s, as there will be “music and fun all night long”. The menu will feature smoked salmon, matured loin, roasted cod, or cauliflower steak, as well as a variety of chocolate sweets and desserts.
Revellers will also be able to celebrate at Bovino Steakhouse, where the night will start with an amuse-bouche and some shared appetisers. For the main course, the house’s “famous meats” are described as a must, although there will also be monkfish medallion for those who prefer fish and even a vegetarian dish.

While it won’t be open for these special dates, the resort is also encouraging diners to discover the new concept at Casa Velha, its oldest restaurant.
After a break to work on new creations and explore new flavours and ideas, Casa Velha now focuses on a more typically Portuguese menu with dishes to share with authentic and sophisticated food with the traditional flavours of our culture and characteristic wines,” it says.
