Ransomware attack targets Agency for Administrative Modernisation

The computer network of Portugal’s Agency for Administrative Modernisation (AMA) remains inaccessible to the public this morning, after it was targeted yesterday by a ransomware cyberattack. The attack had a “substantial impact on various services (including Authentication.Gov, Gov.ID and CERT.PT). With support from national authorities responsible for combatting cybercrime, AMA has said it will communicate any relevant developments (meaning restoration of normal service) “immediately”.
