Recaptured Argentine career criminal Rodolfo Lohrmann is fighting his extradition to Portugal from Spain, following his arrest last week, claiming he would rather be extradited to his homeland, where he is also wanted for various serious crimes. Lohrmann is also ‘wanted’ in Belgium, where he successfully broke out of jail before being arrested in Portugal. Lohrmann is understood to have been the ‘brains’ behind the jailbreak that rocked Portugal last summer, and was among the final two inmates to be recaptured.
