Brazil on the schedule for 2025
2024 has been a busy year for Open Media, publishers of the Portugal Resident, with a total of 17 events both in Portugal and internationally.
The “Living in Portugal” events took place during the year covering Austin, Atlanta, Boston, New York, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles in the USA, Toronto in Canada, and Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town in South Africa.

Here on the ground in Portugal, five “Living in the Algarve” events took place at different locations along the coast.
All of the events aim to provide people who either plan to or are in the process of relocating to Portugal with useful information covering various aspects of living in the country, ranging from tax and legal advice to healthcare and health insurance, relocation logistics, visa options and real estate.
The success of the events has been such that most of the companies taking part have joined various events and many have shown interest in exploring other markets where there is a strong demand for investment in Portugal.
This has led Open Media to include Brazil on the schedule for 2025, which is one of the most important international markets for real estate in Lisbon, Cascais and surrounding areas as well as Porto.

Open Media CEO Bruce Hawker was in Brazil last week setting up a roadshow which will take place in May covering the cities of São Paulo, Florianópolis and Rio de Janeiro which are all linked to Portugal with direct flights.
“The potential in Brazil is huge, not only for Lisbon and Porto but also other regions including the Algarve,” said Bruce.
Stateside, the first events of 2025 will take place in March starting on March 1 in Houston, March 5 in Philadelphia and March 8 in Boston, followed by New York, Chicago and Toronto in June and the west coast including San Francisco along with Portland and Los Angeles in September.
South Africa is back on the agenda for late October.
Back in Portugal, the same schedule of five “Living in the Algarve” events is also taking shape covering Carvoeiro, Lagos, Tavira, Quinta do Lago and Vilamoura in April, May, June, September and November, respectively.
