WITH HEAD OFFICES in Lagoa, the internet based estate agents Portuguesehomes are taking their first step out of the web and onto the street with a refreshing take on real estate.
The company’s new premises in Lagos is unique in comparison to most estate agents you walk into. Instead of being greeted with the usual office environment of desks and uncomfortable chairs, Portuguesehomes have taken the laid back nature of Lagos into the shop, furnishing it with comfortable armchairs. While you relax and browse through their portfolios of properties, you can even order a bica, beer or cake from the bar area.
Moving house can be very stressful and so, with this new venture, Portuguesehomes are placing great emphasis on comfort, the idea being that you feel completely relaxed while looking through their extensive range of properties on offer.
The new shop is even child friendly, with toys and games to keep the kids entertained, and soft drinks and nibbles to keep their tummies from rumbling while you carry on at your own pace.
At present, the Portuguesehomes website (www.portuguesehomes.com) offers properties throughout the Algarve and Alentejo, containing detailed descriptions of the properties (including room sizes) and photographs, to give their clients the true feel of their prospective home. Portuguesehomes has many clients from the UK who visit their site and now, with the new premises, they can see a part of the Algarve, which is really picturesque.
The branch manager of the Lagos shop, Sónia Caetano, has lived in the Algarve for five years, having moved down from Lisbon. She and her sales team of Robert Murat, Ken Smith and Graham Foster believe that this new venture will give the company and clients better results, by building strong, personal relationships between the two.
The sales team believes that the western Algarve is a very buoyant market, offering great value for money and being good for capital growth, which is why Lagos was chosen as the base for their first shop. With their next shop due to open in Almancil on October 1, Portuguesehomes hope to open similar style shops in Albufeira and Tavira.
