Renewable energy production supplied 67% of the electricity consumed in Portugal in October, due to favourable conditions for electricity and wind production, according to data from REN – Redes Energéticas Nacionais, released today. Portugals electricity system manager added that non-renewable production supplied 17% of electricity consumption that month, while the remaining 16% was imported energy. In October, electricity consumption rose by 3.1% (up 2.1% when correcting for the effects of temperature and the number of working days), writes Lusa.
