Salvador Ruiz, general manager of Repsol Polímeros’ Sines Industrial Complex in the district of Setúbal, has pointed to the last quarter of 2025 as the conclusion of its expansion project with the start-up of the two new plants. Speaking to the Lusa news agency on the sidelines of the signing of collaboration protocols with Sines municipality and local associations, Ruiz said that once up and running, the Alba project will produce high-value-added, 100% recyclable polymeric materials for the automotive, pharmaceutical, and agri-food industries. Repsol expects its two plants to be “pioneers in the Iberian Peninsula”, contributing to the “integration and diversification of Repsol’s industrial area, and its leadership in Europe”.
