THE MCCANNS believe the sighting of a man carrying what appeared to be a child, at 9.30pm on the night of Madeleine’s disappearance was significant.
“We are certainly suspicious of the timing and that person needs to be eliminated from the investigation,” Mr McCann said. “The description has been out for 10 days and, as far as we know, no one of that description has come forward, so that definitely gives it more weight.”
