Rotary Club Estoi Palace International (RCEPI) contacted Faro Hospital to see how they could help them. The hospital has been under huge pressure both physically and financially during the pandemic with staff stretched to the limit.
The Club received a “Wish List” of items that would help them and arranged for some of these to be delivered, including a TV screen and some associated equipment for the displaying of test results, a fixed stretcher with back rest and one sanitary shower chair.
On July 23, RCEPI President Shirley Dunne met with some of the administrative and nursing staff at the hospital for the official handover of the equipment.
The hospital was very grateful for RCEPI’s help and cooperation and President Shirley expressed the club’s gratitude for “all that the hospital has done for its patients during the pandemic, under very difficult circumstances”.
