The Russian Embassy in Lisbon will open a polling station on its premises to allow people to vote in the presidential elections on March 17, between 8am and 8pm. A diplomatic source has told Lusa that “Portuguese authorities have promised to ensure public security in the area adjacent to the Embassy”, located in Rua Visconde de Santarém. Four candidates are running in the elections: current president Vladimir Putin, New People’s representative Vladislav Davankov, Leonid Slutsky (far right) and communist Nikolai Kharitonov.
