Ryanair to link Faro to Morocco in summer of 2024

Faro to be linked directly to Morocco by Ryanair

Irish low-cost airline Ryanair has announced the launch of a new air link between Faro and Marrakesh, Morocco in the summer of 2024.

The new route is part of a $1.4 billion investment by the airline in Morocco, the airline said in a statement on Thursday.

Ryanair has not yet announced the days of the flights, although a quick search on the airline’s website shows that the first flights are scheduled for March 31, with weekly flights taking place on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The final flight of the season is scheduled for October 25.

Ryanair’s new summer schedule for 2024 in Morocco also includes two new air links between Tangier and Lisbon and Porto.

With this new investment in Morocco, the airline is expecting to operate 1,100 weekly flights across 175 routes, including 35 new routes.

“This is a historic day for the partnership between Ryanair and the Kingdom of Morocco. Ryanair is proud to unveil a $1.4bn major investment in Morocco for the summer of 2024 which with our biggest summer schedule delivers more than 5m passengers to/from, and within the Kingdom of Morocco,” said Ryanair DAC’s CEO, Eddie Wilson.
