Teachers and school workers of S.T.O.P ((the union of all educational professionals) will be on strike tomorrow, Friday, to mark International Women’s Day. In addition to this national strike, S.T.O.P will be taking party in a march organised by the Feminist Platform and March 8 Network, scheduled to take place in Lisbon tomorrow evening. In a post over social media, the union stresses that the majority of education professionals are women and that they continue to face “countless forms of discrimination”. The decision to come out on strike was announced on February 27.
