HIDDEN JUST off the Rua do Farol in Carvoeiro is the Cattleman restaurant. Set in beautiful tropical gardens, the restaurant has a private pool for customers to sit beside and enjoy their meal in a relaxing and exotic setting.
Open since December last year, the Cattleman restaurant, run by Matthias Klatt and Helder Mata, is a meat-eaters paradise.
“There is no fish on the menu because this is a restaurant for meat-eaters,” said Matthias. “If you are feeling really hungry, then you can challenge yourself to the Cattleman 180 gram steak!”
The partners brought an Italian chef, Michele De Dino, from Germany to work in the restaurant to provide the highest quality of food to their customers.
Meat lovers
The food on the menu is a mixture of classical meals and American style grilled meats. Customers choose their type of potatoes, vegetables or salad with each meal allowing everyone to create their perfect plate of food.
A large range of Portuguese wines are also available at the restaurant. Matthias Klatt told The Resident: “The wine we have at the Cattleman is not the sort you would find in any supermarket. We have a lovely range of fine Portuguese wines.”
The Cattleman pool and garden restaurant is open daily from 5pm and is located just off Rua do Farol in Carvoeiro, behind Flic Flac bar.
Children are welcome.
