Sapper firefighters “absolutely and unequivocally” reject government’s ‘final offer’

The National Firefighters’ Union (SNBS) has announced that it absolutely and unequivocally rejects the government’s final offer for a remuneration status for the career – considering it “unfair, harmful and likely to generate conflicts and internal divisions”. In a statement, the SNBS, which represents the majority of firefighters, said that the government’s offer does not “correct the injustices and asymmetries” that exist. The plan now is to work with the opposition, in the hope that a solution can be found through parliament.
