Sardines are again taking centre stage in Praia da Rocha from May 23 to 30.
Five of the restaurants located on the beachfront wooden walkway will be preparing special sardine dishes, as part of the 3rd Mostra Gastronómica da Sardinha organised by Portimão’s tourism association.
The sardines, which are much enjoyed by the Portuguese, will be served between 12 noon and 10pm each day, with starters costing €2.80 and main courses €7.80.
Participating establishments are Atlântico, Mar e Sol, O Bonézinho, Salsada do Zé and Castelos.
