“Savour the Algarve” launched to strengthen region’s agriculture

The brand was established to represent the Algarve Local Producers Network and create a seal of quality for the region’s agriculture.

REVITALGARVE, a project revitalising rural areas in the Algarve, presented the “Saborear o ALGARVE” (Savour the ALGARVE) brand on February 26.

Around 150 people attended the event, primarily consisting of primary producers and processors from the agri-food sector, along with several local development entities and associations that play a vital role in establishing the Algarve Local Producers Network (RPLA).

The “Saborear o ALGARVE” brand aims to represent the RPLA and create a seal of quality for the region’s agriculture.

Producers and processors can now join and use this brand by requesting membership in the RPLA and complying with the criteria of the Regulation of the Algarve Local Producers Network.

In addition to constituting a differentiating factor for the products produced, the “Saborear o ALGARVE” brand aims to unify and affirm the region’s agriculture, strengthening its competitiveness nationally and internationally.

The brand is now developing in parallel and in alignment with the RPLA. Its next phase involves the launch of a website that will connect producers with consumers, emphasising short consumption circuits.
