September welcomes return of Sunset Concerts

From East to West, ArQuente showcases unique acts at sunset in unforgettable settings.

Cultural Association ArQuente has planned a sequence of Sunset Concerts from September 6 to 28 to liven up the late summer nights.

Entitled “Concertos ao Entardecer” (Sunset Concerts), the initiative will be hosted on the same stages as its previous editions, providing sunsets in unforgettable settings.

The shows take place on Fridays at 18h30 on the Largo da Igreja, on Ilha da Culatra, on Saturdays at 19h00 at the Galeria Arco in Faro, and on Sundays at 17h30 at the Fortaleza de Sagres.

Luca Argel will kick off the 2024 edition, with performances scheduled for September 6 at Ilha da Culatra and on the 8th at the Sagres Fortaleza Auditorium.

The Galeria Arco concert will not happen as usual this weekend because Festival F will take place from September 5 to 7. The gallery’s courtyard, home to ArQuente, will be one of the festival’s venues.

Pedro Branco, a familiar face at the “Concertos ao Entardecer,” will showcase his musical talent as the sun goes down on the weekend of September 13, 14, and 15. He participated as a guitarist with several bands and artists in previous editions, but this time brings his solo project.

Concluding the Sunset Concert Cycle is Jasmim, who joined the psychedelic surf rock band Mighty Sands as a keyboard player in 2014 and will be playing on September 20, 21, and 22.
