16 restaurants will be serving dishes featuring Silves’ famous oranges
From February 13 to 16, a culinary event that shines the spotlight on Silves’ famous oranges will return for its ninth edition.
‘Fim de Semana com Sabor a Laranja’ (Orange Flavoured Weekend) will feature 16 restaurants, each offering a menu inspired by the ‘queen of the orchard’, the Silves orange, which will lend its unique sweetness to a variety of culinary creations, paired with local wines and complemented by delicious citrus-based desserts.
The participating restaurants include: Art’aska – Restaurante Bar and Wine Shop, Café Inglês, Churrasqueira Valdemar, Marisqueira Casa Velha, Marisqueira Rui, Mosaiko – Restaurante & Suites, O Barradas, O Pina, Parsley & Thyme (Salsa & Tomilho), Pérola do Arade, Ponte Romana, Recanto dos Mouros, Sushi Love, Taberna Portuguesa, Ù Monchiqueiro 1, and Ù Monchiqueiro 2.
Clients dining at participating restaurants can enter a special raffle for a chance to win one of three weekend getaways at local hotels. To enter, diners simply need to fill out a contest coupon, attach their receipt, and place it in the designated collection box. The lucky winners will be drawn on the afternoon of February 16, during the ninth ‘Silves Capital of the Orange’ showcase, in the break between performances by Rouxinol Faduncho.
The event is supported by Hotel Colina dos Mouros, Ponte Romana Alojamento, and Hotel Vila Galé Náutico.
