Quinta do Francês, João Clara and Quinta dos Vales, three out of the seven producers that are part of the Vinhos de Silves brand, were awarded at the Brussels International Wine Competition 2013 and also the Decanter World Wine Awards 2013.
João Clara 2011 Red Wine, from Essential Passion Ltd, and Quinta do Francês 2009, from Patrick Agostini Ltd, were the prized wines at the Brussels competition, winning the gold and silver medals respectively.
At the Decanter World Wine Awards, Marquês dos Vales Grace Vineyard 2008 and Marquês dos Vales Primeira Selecção 2010, from Quinta dos Vales, were distinguished with the “Commended” title. The Vinhos de Silves brand, which was created in 2009 by the City Hall of Silves, brings together all of the wine producers in the municipality. The title brand was born from an initiative of the local authority to publicise these products at every event in which the municipality is promoted.
